I am the Managing Director of Mental Health Strategies specialising in strategic service redesign, concept modelling and developing care and governance indicators. Passionate about how the NHS, commissioners and social care organisations are able to ‘track value within the system’, I have developed a range of concepts to support better planning.
I began my career as a Health Economist at both regional and district levels in the mid-1980s and was heavily involved in developing quality of life indicators at both an academic and practical level. I helped develop Mental Health Strategies to bridge a specific gap between finance, health outcomes, planning, governance and patient safety and I’m delighted with how the business has grown over the years with input from our outstanding and highly skilled staff and associate team.
Outside of work I am a huge Manchester United fan (which causes some consternation with the City fans in the office). I am still a big fan of The Smiths and I am kept very down to earth with my three teenage daughters.
